  • Jesus’ Last Words from the Cross

    Friday, April 3

This traditional tenebrae “service of darkness” reflected on Jesus’ last words on the cross.

  • Hope Through Tears

Saturday, April 4 and Sunday, April 5

During Lent, Wednesday evenings are time to slow down and gather—around food, around friendship, and around faith.

Each week, we share a meal (provided by a POP ministry team or mission partner,) spend a short time in worship, and reflect on Scripture as we walk with Jesus toward the cross.

This Lent, we will pray through some difficult emotions in life. Using the Psalms as our guide, we’ll explore how Scripture gives us language for the full range of human emotion: joy and sorrow, fear and trust, anger and peace. As we move through this reflective season, we recognize that many emotions surface along the way. Scripture reminds us that God meets us in all of them.

Rather than avoiding or minimizing what we feel, we’ll learn how to bring our emotions honestly before God in prayer; listening, reflecting, and discovering how the Psalms help us name what’s going on inside us and place it in God’s hands. Every emotion has a place in prayer.

Whether you come every week or jump in when you can, you’re invited to linger with Jesus through the season of Lent.

Easter Breakfast at Prince of Peace is egg-ceptional! Save the date for your FREE Easter Breakfast in the gym: Sunday, April 5, 2026!

Everyone is welcome. There is no obligation to contribute, but volunteer and donation opportunities will be announced at a later date, and a free-will offering will be available for those who wish to support future gatherings. We look forward to celebrating together!
