The Journey

Hello artists! My name is Emma and for this year’s art show I decided to depict a Journey with you! When I first saw our theme I thought, “How lovely!” However, as I dove deeper into the creation of my piece I realized there was so much more than meets the naked eye. I’m sure we all know that God’s plan is always perfect, and he never leads us astray; but he never says our path will be smooth. In fact, He tells us the exact opposite: our lives are like a bumpy cobblestone road with cracks, rough edges, and dirt running through; the journey will always be rough. However, God never gives up on us, and He never leaves us stuck either. The path of peace reminds us that finding God’s peace is key to getting through the journey and all its obstacles that come along. Our journey is imperfect. Our journey is jagged, and maybe even a little scary. But let’s remember to step on God’s stones, and remind ourselves that God can do the impossible. Whatever has to face you has to face God first!
