Worship as a Community. Discover Peace. Together.
The information on this page was designed to help you plan your first visit to POP.
What to expect?
What is worship like at POP?
Worship at POP is designed for you to celebrate and receive Christ’s peace. All are welcome! Every week, you’ll have the opportunity to sing praises to God, hear from God’s word, confess sin and receive forgiveness, pray with the community, and leave with a blessing of peace. Each weekend you will hear a message that applies God’s word to everyday life. That part doesn’t change. What does change is the music. One week, you’ll celebrate with the praise band, while another week you’ll sing along with the organ and choir. All worship services each weekend are identical so you can choose to attend whenever it works best for you. Communion is celebrated on the first, third, and fifth weekends of each month. Baptism is offered on second and fourth weekends.
How long does worship last?
Worship typically lasts about 60 minutes.
What time should I arrive?
It's a good idea to arrive about 15 minutes early. That way you’ll have time to meet a few people and stop by the Connection Center before worship.
What should I wear?
We don't really have a "dress code" at Prince of Peace, but we do expect people to come fully dressed :)! Casual or "Sunday best" is welcome.
Is there something for my kids?
Yes! Kids ages 0-3 are welcome in the nursery at both Sunday worship services. Children age 3 through 5th grade are welcome to attend POPKids at 9:00am on Sundays. Your junior high and senior high children are welcome to worship with you. Check out additional opportunities for your teens throughout the week at Kids & Teens.
At POP, we love kids being in worship with their families! To help kids engage in worship, we have busy bags, kids’ worship folders, and booster seats that can be picked up as you enter the sanctuary. If kids get restless in worship, you are welcome to go out to the Shepherd’s Corner just outside the sanctuary to take a little pause and stay connected to the service.
What about handicap accessibility?
The POP facility is handicap accessible, and there are a number of seats throughout the sanctuary to accommodate people using canes, walkers, or wheelchairs. If you need a large print worship folder or special device like the LOOP system for hearing assistance, ask a Worship Host as you enter the sanctuary.
Located in the lobby, it’s a place where you’ll find more information about Connecting in a Group or Serving on a Team. Here you can learn more about the church, take a brief tour of our campus, and find out how to become a member.
Visit the Connection Center 15 minutes before or after each service.
