A stepping stone is a marker on a faith journey, a stopping point where we celebrate a new milestone of faith development. Baptism, coming to corporate worship, getting your first Bible, First Communion, Confirmation, graduating from high school are all defining moments in our walk of faith, and we want to celebrate them.
Our stepping stone ministry supports you as primary faith mentors for your children, and gives you the tools and resources you need at these specific times of faith development to encourage your children in their faith walk at home. Home is the primary place were faith in Christ is nurtured, strengthened, and expressed. The church’s role is to be a trusted partner alongside parents to help foster this strengthening this process. We provide support, encouragement, resources, and accountability for families to grow in their faith at home.
When: Saturday, February 2, 2019, 8:30am-12:00pm

What’s Happening? We invite you to participate with your child in our First Communion Workshop. Students in grades 5-8 are eligible to attend if they have not already. This class helps students understand the gifts God gives through this Holy meal, and prepares them to take communion for the first time. Students who participate in the class on Saturday will take their first communion on Sunday morning during the 10:30 service.
